POSE OF THE MONTH
Tree Pose
Trees are our best friends: they give us the oxygen we need, and we give them back the carbon dioxide they need.

Affirmation:
"I still my mind. I stand tall and strong."
Instructions
- Start in Mountain Pose.
- Bend your right knee and place your right foot against the inside of your left leg.
- Bring your hands to your chest in Namaste, then raise your arms up above your head. Stretch them out wide, like the branches of a tree.
- Imagine you are a tall tree with deep roots.
- Balance for three breaths in and out.
- Repeat on the other side.
Benefits
Tree pose improves focus and concentration, and strengthens the shoulders and legs.
